## Ways to create trust
1. **Lead by** _consistent_ **example** with the behavior you want, with consistency in your actions.
2. **Foster honest communication and candid feedback** by working collaboratively (not as adversaries) to find solutions.
3. **Be transparent** - don’t hide information - **and delegate decision making**, even if that might not align with your own preferences.
4. **Set consistent behavioral expectations** and address behavior that is damaging to the team’s mental health.
5. **Create a safe work environment** where team members feel OK to express thoughts, make mistakes, and take calculated risks.
6. **Recognize accomplishments** and celebrate the team’s hard work.
