[Wardley Maps](https://learnwardleymapping.com/) have two axis: - Value Chain - Evolution Evolution is roughly split into four quadrants: Genesis, Custom Built, Product, and Commodity. Value Chain can also be defined as relative visibility to the client, with respect to all other dots on the map. At the top of the map are the users. Below them we list their needs. Those needs then are connected to the products that provide them. Finally, underlying systems and process that deliver the product are mapped out even lower. The very bottom of a Wardley Map could be the source of electric power if the map is about IT services. Connections are dependencies: If A needs to be done to achieve B, B should be connected to A, and B is probably higher up on the map as it should deliver more (additive) value than A alone.
